FAQ

Common questions

Where is the app after I open it?

MarketClock lives in the menu bar at the top right of your screen and has no Dock icon. Click the session name in the menu bar to see details or open the dashboard. The first launch also opens the dashboard for you.

Which sessions are shown by default?

The Futures split preset: Asia (6:00 pm to 3:00 am ET), London (3:00 am to 9:30 am ET), NY RTH (9:30 am to 4:00 pm ET) and the post-close hour. These follow CME Globex hours, so they are hidden on weekends and holidays.

How do I use ICT killzones or gold key times?

Open Settings, go to Sessions, and switch on the preset you want. You can also edit any session or add your own in any time zone.

Why did I not get a notification?

Check that alerts are turned on for that session in Settings, and that MarketClock is allowed to send notifications in System Settings, Notifications. Focus modes can also hold notifications back.

How do I add the desktop widget?

Right-click the desktop, choose Edit Widgets, search for MarketClock and drag the widget where you want it.

How do I start MarketClock when I log in?

Turn on Launch at login in MarketClock Settings. You can also manage it in System Settings, General, Login Items.

Are CME holidays up to date?

Holiday closures and early halts are built into the app and currently cover dates through the end of 2027. App updates extend the calendar, and the app warns you if its holiday data has expired.

Is MarketClock trading or financial advice?

No. MarketClock shows exchange session times for convenience only. Always confirm hours with CME Group before trading, especially around holidays.
